Site Services Manager £55k - £60k plus pension The business is going through an improvement journey and to enable this they are looking to attract some key talent and one of those first appointments is a Site Services Manager. The Site Services Manager role oversees utilities, water, air, and effluent systems it's a critical role for all manufacturing sites to manage the infrastructure and utilities for the site. The work done behind the scenes is often invisible to everyone else and we need someone with a problem-solving mentality and an enthusiastic and upbeat approach. With a team of four the Site Services Manager role needs an experienced hand - a solid background and the professional expertise to lead the team. Oversee the operation and maintenance of the utilities and infrastructure, including steam boilers, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and refrigeration units. Ensuring reliable supply to production is critical to ensure smooth production. Leading a small team with a direct reporting line to the Engineering Manager. Manage water treatment and distribution systems complying with all regulatory requirements. Implementing water conservation measures to minimize waste and the environmental impact. Monitor air quality parameters and implement measures to maintain safe and healthy indoor air quality levels, including ventilation systems and emission controls, in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Coordinate effluent treatment processes and wastewater disposal systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact. Ensure all site services operations adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and address any compliance issues. Develop and manage budgets for site services operations, optimizing resource allocation and implementing cost-saving initiatives while ensuring service reliability and quality. Liaise with external suppliers and contractors ensuring they have the right supervision and inductions and permits to work on site. Ideally you will have this background Experience in utilities maintenance management. Proven ability to manage compliances in a Site Services role. BOAS training. Previous experience of managing small to medium sized teams. Able to demonstrate leadership skills, how to motivate and engage. Strong communication skills able to work with other departments and interact at all levels to gain buy in and commitment. Previous project management experience.
